Easy Turkey Lettuce Wraps

I have a weird theory about Turkey. It belongs on the table for Thanksgiving and that is it. BUT I will make an exception for these lettuce wraps. My sister begs for them on a monthly basis and my very picky niece loves them as well.

For this recipe you will need: [serves 3-4 people]

  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 package of ground turkey [2 pounds]
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/2 container of bean sprouts
  • water

Brown turkey in a large skillet, adding the soy sauce a little at a time after the turkey is cooked through. You will want to taste the turkey after you put the soy sauce in to see if it is too salty. If you find it is too salty, add a little water. Add bean sprouts to the skillet until they are translucent. Drain the liquid and put the turkey mixture on a serving platter, leaving room for the lettuce.

Cut the head of lettuce in half from the top of the head down to the core. Make sure the leaves are big enough to make a “boat” of sorts.

Wrap the turkey mixture in the lettuce leafs and enjoy.
